Ordering High Heat Casters

High heat environments punish equipment. Bearings seize. Treads crack. Lubricants fail. That’s why every Caster Concepts high heat caster is engineered from the inside out to perform under continuous thermal stress, from 250°F up to 750°F (and beyond with specialty builds).

Our high heat casters feature precision machining, heat-treated components, and temperature-stable materials. Every weld, every wheel, and every bearing system is tested to endure where standard options can’t.

Our high heat casters are purpose-built for foundries, autoclaves, bakeries, and industrial ovens and any application that demands beyond standard performance.

TEMP RATINGS (BASED ON CONTINUOUS USE) WHEEL MATERIALS BEARINGS SIZES SWIVEL SECTIONS

HT: Up to 250°F (121.1°C)

Cast Iron Roller Bearings Diameters 4” to 16” Swivel

HT3: Up to 350°F (176.6°C) Steel High-Temperature Ball Bearings Widths: 1.5” to 5.25” Rigid

Custom solutions for temperatures up to 1,500°F.

High Temp Phenolic Bronze Bearings Kingpin and Kingpinless

MC901 Heat-Stabilized Cast Iron Tapered Bearings (Up to 250°F) Maintenance-Free

High-Temperature casters can be ordered by adding HT for 250° F (121.1° C) rating or HT3 for 350° F (176.66° C) rating to the end of part numbers. Caster Concepts prides itself on being a make-to-order company with industry best lead times. For standard products, lead times are five days or less, and ten days or less for make-to-order casters.

High Heat Wheels

Caster Concept’s heat resistant caster wheels are engineered, tested, and verified in our U.S. facility to deliver uncompromising performance in continuous high-temperature cycles.

Key Features:

  • Wheel Materials: High temp phenolic, forged steel, cast iron, and MC901 heat-stabilized case nylon.
  • Tread Hardness: Optimized to resist deformation and cracking

Temperature Ratings: Operating environments based on continuous use. HT: Up to 250°F (121.1°C). HT3: Up to 350°F (176.6°C). For applications exceeding 350°F, reach out to discuss your specific needs. We’ve successfully engineered casters to operate in environments up to 1,500°F.

Forged Steel Wheels,

Forged Steel Wheels, as the name implies, are manufactured in a forging operation. They are excellent for applications that have a significant risk of shock loading. Manufacturers can heat treat them to increase hardness, and welders can easily weld them.

Cast Iron Wheels

Cast Iron Wheels are manufactured by melting pig iron while adding substantial quantities of scrap iron and steel scrap. They can support a significant amount of weight and are good for demanding and high temperature applications.

High Temp Phenolic Wheels

High Temp Phenolic Wheels feature a continuous wrap process making it a longer-wearing product and great for high heat applications such as baking and curing.
